Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Gets New Trailer

505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios released a new trailer for the upcoming Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The minute-long video shows the game’s world exploration, highlighting its mix of 2D and 3D graphics, as well as showing some of the large assortment of heroes players can recruit in the spiritual successor to the Suikoden series. The video also promises that more details about the game will be reveal in next month’s Tokyo Game Show.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2023. The game is being developed by a team led by Suikoden series creator Yoshitaka Murayama. It is set in the world of Allraan, with its history shaped by magical items called rune-lenses. The Galdean Empire has emerged as the dominant power thanks to finding a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses, and it is now looking for an artefact that will enhance its power further. A prequel companion title, town-creation action RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, released earlier this month.
