Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II Remaster Releasing Next Week

Interplay Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast announced that the recently-announced remaster of action RPG Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II will launch on July 20, 2022. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It will include local co-op play on all platforms, while the Steam PC version will support Remote Play and is verified on Steam Deck.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II is set in the Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms campaign, and utilises rules from Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition. The game was originally released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2004. It is a direct sequel to the first Dark Alliance game, which was remastered in 2021, and features five playable characters at the start — plus two unlockable characters — and four difficulty levels.
