Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! Coming to Consoles

Publisher No Gravity Games has announced that it is bringing Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! series to home consoles. Developed by Inkle and released on PC and mobile as four separate installments, the games are adaptations of the four-part choose-your-own-adventure gamebook series released in the ’80s as part of the greater Fighting Fantasy franchise. The console version will combine all four entries, and feature over fifty spells, a New Game Plus mode, a Swindlestones mini-game, and a rewind option. The game will be available on June 23, 2022, for Xbox and PlayStation consoles as well as Nintendo Switch.

Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! consists of four connected parts: The Shamutanti Hills, KharĂ©: Cityport of Traps, The Seven Serpents, and The Crown of Kings. Players take on the role of a lone adventurer who must make their way across the land of Analand to reclaim the stolen Crown of Kings, a magical artifact of immense power. To win back the Crown, they must brave many dangers and ultimately face the cruel Archmage of Mampang Fortress.
