Persona Titles Heading to Xbox

Microsoft and Atlus have announced that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal will all be heading to Xbox consoles and the Xbox PC Store. Persona 5 Royal will release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on October 21, 2022, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden following in 2023. All three games will be included on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

All three games see players taking the role of a high-school student who becomes involved in supernatural events where they end up fighting through dungeons in another plane. Persona 3 Portable is the PlayStation Portable remake of PlayStation 2 title Persona 3 and released for PlayStation Portable in North America in 2010. The game sees players joining a group that investigates the Dark Hour and the Tower of Tartarus that appears during it, with Portable including a female protagonist option.

Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced remaster of PlayStation 2 title Persona 4. It released for PlayStation Vita in North America in 2008, with a PC version released through Steam in 2021. The game sees players controlling a student who moved to the rural town of Inaba for a year, where they start investigating disappearances and the seemingly related TV World. The Golden version includes a major new character as well as new story content and more.

Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced version of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 title Persona 5 and was released for PlayStation 4 in North America in 2017. The game sees players moving to Tokyo, where discover another world called the Metaverse and use it to change the malevolent hearts of people, operating as a vigilante group called the Phantom Thieves. The Royal version adds two new major characters, including a new party member, as well as new story content.
