New Release Round-Up (June 16, 2022)
Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.
Ganbare! Super Strikers
Ganbare! Super Strikers is a tactical soccer RPG. The game features a story mode where players control a small team in Japan and progress towards international competitions. It also includes local multiplayer, quick matches, leagues, and tournaments, coming in both seven-a-side and eleven-a-side formats. Those looking to read more can check out RPGamer’s review of its PlayStation 4 release.
Horror RPG Omori puts players in the role of a character named Omori, who has been living in a place called White Space for as long as they can recall. The place is bright white, seemingly without any walls and with a black bulb hanging from an apparent ceiling, while Omori simply has a blanket, a laptop, a cat, a sketchbook, and a tissue box, though considers that to be everything they need. Sometimes Omori is invited to visit their neighbours, and also occasionally remembers that they had a friend in the past.
Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga
Tactical RPG Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga is set in the war-torn land of Tahnra. Players control an Imperial Army Officer tasked with rescuing Empress Florina after she is kidnapped. The game features turn-based combat on grid-based battlefields as players command squads of units from up to 50 available unit types. Its story campaign is stated to take around 30-40 hours to complete.
Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf
Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf is a mixture of visual novel and turn-based RPG. It is set in the same world as other Winter Wolves titles Loren The Amazon Princess and Cursed Lands, with players controlling one of two elven twins over the course of a year. Combat features cover, ambushes, coordinated attacks, and magic as players battle human and demonic enemies.
