Soul Hackers 2 Second Trailer Released

Atlus released a second trailer for the upcoming Soul Hackers 2. The three-minute video is in Japanese but has English subtitles available and introduces some additional characters appearing in the game.

The new characters appearing in the trailer are Iron Mask, Zenon, and Ichiro Onda. Iron Mask is a Devil Summoner who is part of the Phantom Society and leads one of its mysterious projects. Zenon is an artificial demon created by Iron Mask that follows his orders without showing much intelligence. Ichiro Onda is a famous computer engineer behind something called the “Vanishing System”. He has something called the Red Covenant, which is important for the Phantom Society’s plans, and is killed by Iron Mask and Zenon when they take it from him.

Soul Hackers 2 is a new title in Shin Megami Tensei’s Devil Summoner spin-off series. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S and is planned to release in Japan on August 25, 2022, and in North America and Europe on August 26, 2022. Soul Hackers 2 follows Ringo, a Devil Summoner — someone able to command demons to fight using customisable devices called COMPs — aiming to prevent the apocalypse as a war breaks out between factions.
