I suppose my favorite animated game adaptation would The World Ends With You anime. It could stand to be longer, as it’s a bit rushed, but it’s otherwise a good adaptation of the game. It’s the closest we’ll ever get to a fully voiced version of TWEWY.
As for my least favorite, I’m not sure. There’s a glut of dumb, goofy cartoons. There is Darkstalkers, Donkey Kong Country, and the Legend of Zelda, to name a few.
QOTW: Speaking of favorite video game based cartoons draws up memories of Earthworm Jim, Castlevania, and Cuphead, but my absolute favorite is Sonic SatAM. It was dark, Robotnik looked and sounded scary/threatening, and it introduced me to one of my first childhood crushes in Bunnie Rabbot 😅
On the opposite side of the coin, my least favorite is the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. There was no substance, it was random for the sake of random, and I just couldn’t stand it.
Jaleel White being the voice of the main character in one of the best things from my childhood and one of the worst simultaneously still astounds me.
My favorite game related show is Persona 4 the animation. I really enjoyed that adaptation of the game. I also like Sonic the hedgehog.
