Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Gets Concerted February Updates

Sega announced its newest update for MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. The February updates will begin on February 9, 2022, with the first adding a new side story for its Chapter 2 content, which focuses on a concert being held by Nadereh. Players will be able to attend two new concerts, “Song of War” and “Song of Mourning”, which will grant attending players with a buff.

The first update will also raise the game’s level cap to 40 as well as adding new higher rank sectors and Urgent Quests, the new Megalotix enemy type, and more. Updates later in the month will add a battle against Dark Falz, new scratch tickets, and additional high-rank sectors. Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new game that runs alongside Phantasy Star Online 2. The game takes place 1,000 years after the events of Phantasy Star Online 2, is set on a new world, and features a redesigned graphics engine, as well as a new multi-weapon system and abilities. The game released in 2021 and is available in the west for Xbox One and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, while in Japan the game is available for PC and PlayStation 4, along with a Nintendo Switch cloud version.
