Atelier Sophie 2 Receives Theme Song Trailer

Koei Tecmo and Gust marked this week’s release of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream with a new “theme song” trailer. The trailer also came alongside news of a 25th anniversary collaboration between the Atelier and Bandai Namco’s Tales franchises, which will see bonus in-game items added to Atelier Sophie 2 and Tales of Arise as free updates in April 2022. Atelier Sophie 2 will get the Alphen’s Iron Mask, Shionne’s Hair Ornament, and Owl King Doll accessory, while Tales of Arise will get the Hunting Rifle and Starguide Staff weapon skins as well as the Sophie’s Flower Hair Clip attachment.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is a direct sequel to Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, the first title in Atelier’s Mysterious sub-series. It sees alchemist Sophie Neuenmuller transported to the world of Erde Wiege where she meets a younger version of her teacher Plachta, who does not know who Sophie is. Atelier Sophie 2 is set to be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 24, 2022, and for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe as well as PC worldwide on February 25, 2022.
