New Death’s Gambit: Afterlife DLC, Xbox One Release Announced

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer White Rabbit announced new DLC for Death’s Gambit: Afterlife as well as an Xbox One release for the game. The Ashes of Vados DLC will release for PC on February 10, 2022, priced at $7.99 with a 35% launch discount. It will also release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One (at the same time as the game itself), and Nintendo Switch in spring 2022, again priced at $7.99.

Ashes of Vados features a brand-new boss encounter as well as a distinct heroic boss variant that concludes the game’s final major thread. It also includes new challenges in a platforming level, a new Arena with both boss rush and horde mode, and alternative game modifiers such as randomised items.

In addition, the companies announced that a Nintendo Switch physical edition for the game is available to order now. The physical edition includes a sticker sheet, a double-sided poster, and an illustrated inner coversheet and can be purchased from Serenity Forge’s online store or selected retailers.

Death’s Gambit is a 2D action RPG where players take on the role of the Reaper of Death in a gothic world filled with challenging beasts, knights, undead guardians, and more. The game originally released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Its Afterlife version — released on Nintendo Switch in 2021 and added to the PC and PlayStation 4 versions as a free update — includes ten new levels featuring six new bosses, twenty-two new weapons, multiple endings, and an expansion to the game’s talent tree, bringing its total to over 100 talents.
