Disney Twisted-Wonderland North American Release Announced

Aniplex announced an English release for f4samurai’s mobile RPG Disney Twisted-Wonderland. The game will be released in the United States and Canada on iOS and Android on January 20, 2022. It will be available as a free-to-play title with in-game transactions.

Disney Twisted-Wonderland is billed as a “narrative adventure JRPG” and is set in a world called Twisted Wonderland where humans and magic users live side-by-side. The game takes place in Night Raven College, an arcane training academy where only students selected by the Dark Mirror can attend. The college has seven dorms, each inspired by villains from Disney movies:

• Heartslabyul Dorm (Alice in Wonderland)
• Savanaclaw Dorm (The Lion King)
• Octavinelle Dorm (The Little Mermaid)
• Scarabia Dorm (Aladdin)
• Pomefiore Dorm (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves)
• Ignihyde Dorm (Hercules)
• Diasomnia Dorm (Sleeping Beauty)

Players can take their characters on three different types of lessons, allowing them to improve different attributes. By interacting with icons on the map, players can progress the story, which features three major parts. The first are original tales inspired by Disney villains with full Japanese voice acting using Live2D animation. The second a Twistunes, rhythm-game based challenges that include dialogue between miniature character models. Finally, there are turn-based battles where players will need to identify and exploit their enemies’ weaknesses. There are also combat exams that grant rewards based on the player’s score and rank.
