Star Ocean: The Divine Force Environments Showcased

Square Enix and tri-Ace released a new video for the recently-announced Star Ocean: The Divine Force. The 80-second video showcases some of the varied environments that will be found in the game when it releases next year on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is set in the year 583 SD, just under 50 years after the events of Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness and a little under 200 years before the events of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. The game features two main protagonists: Raymond and Laeticia. Raymond is the captain of the Ydas merchant starship, while Laeticia is the crown princess of the Kingdom of Aucerius on the remote planet Aster IV, where Raymond is forced to land after his ship is attacked.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will feature 3D exploration, with players able to utilise airborne travel in the game’s field areas. It will include a new iteration of the series’ familiar action combat with players able to start battles using exploration elements such as jumping off cliffs.
