Rune Factory 4 Special Hitting New Platforms Next Month

XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe announced that Rune Factory 4 Special will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 7, 2021. The game, a remastered version of Nintendo 3DS title Rune Factory 4 that previously released for Nintendo Switch in 2020, will be available for $29.99 and come with the Another Episode DLC that features a series of illustrated storybook episodes featuring the game’s twelve marriage candidates and dragon Ventuswill.

Rune Factory 4 is part of a spin-off series to the Bokujō Monogatari (aka Story of Seasons) farming sim series and focuses more on dungeon-crawling and defeating monsters over raising livestock. Improvements in Special include upgraded graphics, additional event scenes, and a new “Newlywed Mode”. The “Another Episode Pack” DLC will be available to download for free for the first four weeks following the launch.
