Veil of Dust: A Homesteading Game Demo Releasing Next Week

Calamity Bay Games announced that a demo for its story-driven farming RPG Veil of Dust: A Homesteading Game will release next week. The demo provides two-to-three hours of gameplay and will be available through Steam for PC and Linux on October 12, 2021.

Veil of Dust is set in Eastern Oregon in the 1860s and stars siblings Áine and Shane Callahan. They originally planned to reach the Willamette Valley with their father, but the journey ended prematurely. The siblings now seek to survive and build up their homestead while keeping Áine’s magical abilities secret. Veil of Dust includes farming, foraging, hunting, cooking, and crafting elements. Players will also engage in combat against magical monsters as they investigate the source of the creatures’ appearances. Veil of Dust: A Homesteading Game is expected to launch for PC and Linux in 2022.
