Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Graphical Update, DLC Plans Revealed

META Publishing and Owlcat Games have announced a graphical update for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The updates are detailed in a new developer diary video and include hand-painted textures, physical-based rendering, an overhauled weather system, dynamic lighting, a “darker and more serious” art style, 360° camera control, and general surface and particle upgrades.

The companies also announced that the game will have a Season Pass granting access to two story expansions and a roguelike mode partially integrated into the main campaign. The first story expansion will follow players after the main campaign as they defend the space-time continuum with their mythic powers. The second expansion will take place during the main campaign as players band together with other survivors while attempting to reach a foothold with limited resources.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the follow-up to Owlcat’s previous game, Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The game features both real-time and turn-based combat modes. Set in the Pathfinder universe, Wrath of the Righteous features a new campaign as players are tasked with repelling an incursion of demons from the Worldwound. The game will be released for PC, Mac, and Linux on September 2, 2021, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to follow in the fall of 2021.
