New Legend of Mana Remastered Screenshots Released

Square Enix has released new screenshots and character art for the upcoming Legend of Mana Remastered. The new images show the game’s updated graphics and UI, as well as the characters from the game’s Escad story arc — childhood friends Escad, Daena, Matilda, and Irwin. They also show the game’s ability for players to craft one-of-a-kind equipment or enhanced instruments, as well as the pets and golems systems that aid players in combat.

Legend of Mana is the fourth game in the Mana series and was released for PlayStation in Japan in 1999 and in North America in 2000. The game sees players setting off into the world of Fa’Diel to find the Mana Tree, only to discover the world is empty. Players find special artifacts that can be placed down, adding new towns and dungeons, with the story changing based on player decisions.

Legend of Mana Remastered will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2021. The remastered version will include a rearranged soundtrack, with players able to switch to the original if they wish, as well as the ability to turn off enemy encounters and the new Ring Ring Land mini-game.
