Outriders Delayed, Demo Announced
People Can Fly and Square Enix have announced a delay for the upcoming action RPG Outriders. Originally slated for release on February 2, 2021, the game will now release on April 1, 2021, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A Google Stadia version is also planned for later in the year. Alongside the delay came the announcement of a demo for the game on February 25, 2021. The demo will cover the opening hours of the game with single and co-op options and all four classes available. Additionally, progress made in the demo can be transferred over to the full game.
Outriders follows a segment of humanity on the planet Enoch, looking for a new home after the desolation of Earth. Colonization efforts are complicated by a storm known as the Anomaly. Having been knocked out for decades and imbued with magical powers due to the storm, players awaken and are tasked with crossing the dangerous planet in search of a mysterious signal that may hold the key to saving humanity.
