Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin Out Now
XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe have released Edelweiss’ Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin in North America and Europe. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. A new three-minute launch trailer can be viewed below.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin tells the story of a spoiled harvest goddess named Sakuna who gets banished to a dangerous island where she must rebuild her status by harvesting rice and helping the island’s inhabitants. Being the goddess of harvest, Sakuna’s strength will grow will each successful crop of rice she cultivates, with different types of rice granting her bonuses such as enhanced combat abilities.
Wow. I haven’t heard voice acting this awful in a long time. Pretty much killed my chances of checking this one out and I’m a big side-scroller fan. Every piece of dialogue in the trailer just made me cringe harder.
Let them eat rice!
