Hellpoint Next-Generation Versions Launching in 2021

Developer Cradle Games and publisher tinyBuild announced that dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of action RPG Hellpoint will launch in 2021. The next-generation versions will include support for higher frame rates and resolutions, as well as two graphical modes — performance mode featuring dynamic 4K resolution at 60FPS and quality mode featuring native 4K resolution at 30 FPS.

Those who already own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version will be able upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X version respectively for free. A new option to unlock the frame rate will also be available on the existing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions when being run on next-generation consoles.

Hellpoint is a sci-fi action RPG set on a derelict space station orbiting a black hole and lists Dark Souls, Dead Space, Event Horizon, and Hellraiser as its inspirations. The game features split-screen and online co-op multiplayer. It was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux in July 2020. A Nintendo Switch version was planned for release at the same time but has been delayed and not yet dated.
