Capcom Shows Monster Hunter Rise Great Sword Gameplay

Capcom released a new six-minute gameplay video for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise. The narrated video focuses on the Great Sword weapon, with the hunter accompanied by two Palamutes as he takes on the bird wyvern Aknosom.

Monster Hunter Rise is a new mainline entry in the series. The game will see players able to use vertical movements to climb cliffs using a tool called the Wirebug, which can be also be used to attack. Monster Hunter Rise introduces new Canyne companions called Palamutes, which players can ride and which will also attack enemies. Felyne Palico companions will also return as support-based allies, with players able to select two companions to take with them on hunts in single-player and one companion each in multiplayer. Monster Hunter Rise will release on Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021.
