Paper Mario: The Origami King Demonstrated on Treehouse Live

Nintendo held a special Treehouse Live presentation, where it showed gameplay from Paper Mario: The Origami King. Hosts Rhiona, Ethan, and Sam give a quick introduction to the game before showing around half an hour of gameplay including exploration, ring-based combat, hidden puzzles, and more.

Paper Mario: The Origami King sees King Olly binding Princess Peach’s Castle in streamers and taking it to a mountain as part of his scheme to fold the world. Combat uses a set of rings surrounding Mario, with players tasked with strategically moving the rings to most effectively use attacks. The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 17, 2020.
