Phantasy Star Online 2 Details Content Road Map for the Rest of 2020

Fans of Phantasy Star Online 2 won’t have to wait much longer to enjoy new content for Sega’s popular MMO, as a content road map for the rest of the year has just been released. The game’s western launch already included three years’ worth of updates, and the first three story content episodes.

The plan is to have Episode 4 launch in August, with Episode 6 being the last drop planned for the year. Each episode drop will come with not only substantial story content, but also a bevy of extra features, such as increases to the level cap. The goal is for the western version of the game to catch up with the Japanese version eventually through frequent content updates, to the point where both will be in tandem in the future.

Episode 4 takes place many years after the events of the first three Episodes. The story will take players to Earth for the first time, with Tokyo and Las Vegas being areas that will be included.

Phantasy Star Online 2 was originally released in Japan for PC in 2012, and has been ported to PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and even Nintendo Switch thanks to Cloud technology. The popular MMO released outside of Asia, and on an Xbox platform, for the first time on April 15 this year. It later released on the Microsoft Store on May 27, with more PC platforms to be added later.
