Dauntless Answers Call of the Void This Week

Phoenix Labs announced that the latest expansion for free-to-play co-op action RPG Dauntless will release on June 11, 2020. Call of the Void will be available for free on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The expansion adds a new gauntlet-style Escalation challenge where players head to an island chain where a dark element has strengthened monsters, giving them new attack patterns. The in-game season that comes with Call of the Void’s release will feature an evolving narrative with player choice affecting how the arc plays out. It also adds a new Training Grounds location, where players can test and analyse their equipment and attacks. A new Relics & Ruin Hunt Pass is also now available, with the expansion adding further quality-of-life and UI improvements, as well as a new journal feature.

Dauntless sees players controlling Slayers, warriors sent out to fight against beasts known as Behemoths, crafting new equipment from materials gathered from vanquished foes. The game features cross-save as well as cross-platform and cross-region multiplayer on all platforms. Those looking to read more about Dauntless can check out Phil Willis’ Deep Look.
