Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Gets Overview Trailer

Nintendo has released an English version of the recent overview trailer for the upcoming Definitive Edition of Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles. The six-minute trailer provides a brief setup for the game’s world and cast of characters, then delves deeper into its combat system, finishing with a quick look at the newly added Future Connected epilogue scenario. The game is scheduled to release for Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2020.

Xenoblade Chronicles originally released for Nintendo Wii and won RPGamer’s Game of the Year in 2012, as well as appearing in our RPGs of the Decade feature. The Definitive Edition comes with graphical and UI improvements, along with an epilogue chapter that is available from the start, but is geared for players that have played through the game. Future Connected sees Shulk and Melia travel with two additional Nopon companions to a yet unexplored section of the Bionis’ body.
