Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Gets Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Square Enix released a “Inside Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition” video ahead of the game’s launch for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android on August 27, 2020. The 19-minute video shows gameplay footage and features insights and anecdotes from the original game’s Producer Akitoshi Kawazu and Art Director and Character Designer Toshiyuki Itahana.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles sees players controlling a group of adventurers searching for myrrh, a fuel for crystals that protect the world’s settlements from a poisonous miasma. The party carries along a chalice that forms a limited protective bubble against the miasma. The remaster will include cross-play and cross-save across all four platforms. A free Lite Edition will give players access to the first three dungeons in the game in both single-player and cross-platform online multiplayer modes, with progress able to be transferred to the full game. Meanwhile, owners of the full game will be able to host a party of four players through up to thirteen dungeons using just a single copy of the game between them.
