New Character and Deluxe Editions Announced for Fairy Tail

Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for the Fairy Tail RPG, which can be viewed below, that showcases the Eclipse arc, a new character, and some bonus items players can get when purchasing the game. Fairy Tail is expected to release worldwide for PC, and for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan and Europe on June 25, 2020, with North America getting it the following day, June 26, 2020.

The Fairy Tail RPG is based on the popular manga and animated series of the same name. The game will have an original story, but follow certain story segments from the series. The newest playable character is Gildarts, an S-Class mage who uses “Crush” magic to pound foes into submission. Fighting numerous battles together will strengthen characters’ bonds and open up new, original dialogue options written specifically for the game.

The recently announced Digital Deluxe version will gift players with a Grand Magic Games costume, bonus Lacrima set, and a new costume for Ryza and Lucy. Buying the physical or digital version of the game within a limited time will also grant players an extra costume for Erza.
