Trails of Cold Steel III Receives PC Release Date, Switch Trailer

NIS America has some good news for those waiting to get into Trails of Cold Steel III on other platforms. During its panel at PAX South, the publisher yesterday confirmed a PC release date and a Nintendo Switch release window for Nihon Falcom’s JRPG. The PC version, available via Steam, will be available on March 23, 2020, and will feature improvements such as ultrawide screen support, auto-save functionality, and additional high-speed options of up to six times faster, and improved visuals and unlimited draw distance.

The Switch release has been confirmed for this spring, and can be preordered in a standard edition as well as a Thors Academy Edition, which comes with a hardcover art book, a Symphony of Class VII music CD, Mishy plushie, collector’s box, a set of five postcards, and SteelBook case. Both PC and Switch releases will also come packed with 26 cosmetic items.

Trails of Cold Steel III was released on PlayStation 4 in October 2019, two years after its Japanese counterpart, and follows Trails of Cold Steel and Trails of Cold Steel II protagonist Rean Schwarzer as he begins his new role of an instructor at a newly-established military academy campus in the Erebonian Empire.
