RPGs Release Alongside Apple Arcade

Apple has launched its Apple Arcade video game subscription service for iOS and Mac, which offers access to a library of games for $4.99/£4.99/€4.99 per month. The service lets players continue progress across devices, provided they use the same iCloud account, with numerous controllers supported.

With the launch of the new service, a number of RPGs have also launched. The first of these is The Gentlebros’ Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire, which is also coming to PC on September 24, 2019, with console versions releasing later this year. The second game is Cornfox & Brothers Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, the sequel to adventure RPG Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. Devolver Digital and Dodge Roll’s bullet-hell roguelike Enter the Gungeon also received a sequel titled Exit the Gungeon. The final RPG is Square Enix’s turn-based fantasy RPG Various Daylife, which is developed by some of the team members from the Bravely series and Octopath Traveler.
