Dragon Quests Now Available on Switch

Four games in the Dragon Quest series are now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch. The releases are headlined by Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age, which is joined by Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.

Dragon Quest XI was originally released for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in 2018, winning RPGamer’s 2018 Game of the Year Award. The enhanced Nintendo Switch version of the game will add new character-specific stories, an increased battle speed option, fully orchestrated field and battle music, and the ability to switch between HD and 16-bit visuals. Nintendo released a trio of character-focused trailers highlighting the party members that join up with the main protagonist in the game.

The first three Dragon Quest games are available separately with Dragon Quest priced at $4.99, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line priced at $6.49, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation priced at $12.49. The releases are the same versions that previously launched for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2017 and are based on the iOS and Android remakes released in 2013 through 2014.
