Happy #JRPGJuly everyone! The RPGamer crew is back for another round of Chic Pixel’s annual celebration, and we are here to share what staff are going to be playing this month!
This week, Alex and Anna Marie can talk about their embargoed games, Peter finishes a game, and Chris worries about his cats. Kelley’s question of the week leads us down rabbit holes we probably shouldn’t have explored, but we’re doing it live and that’s how we roll.
Not much news, but there are many games out this week. We won’t play any of them though. Alice is on about Space Station 13, Kelley re-upped World of Warcraft, Anna Marie is playing Dragon Quest III, and Chris is still playing Final Fantasy IV.
Dragon Quest fans awaiting the chance to play the series on Nintendo Switch now have plenty of options. The most recent title is joined by the first three on Nintendo’s hybrid system.
Square Enix has announced the first three Dragon Quest games will be joining Dragon Quest XI on Nintendo Switch. All of the games will be released on the same day in less than two weeks.
Dragon Quest XI won’t be the only title in the series launching on Switch in Japan this month, with the first three games set to join it. Meanwhile, Square Enix also revealed a Japanese release date for smartphone title Dragon Quest Walk.
