Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition Announced

Versus Evil has officially announced Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition, which will see Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire released on consoles. The Ultimate Edition will include the game’s three DLC packs — Beast of Winter, The Forgotten Sanctum, and Seeker, Slayer, Survivor — as well as the option to choose between the recently-released turn-based combat mode and original real-time system.

A sequel to 2015 title Pillars of Eternity, Deadfire takes place five years after the events of the first game in the eponymous Deadfire Archipelago. Players are tasked with investigating and pursuing the god Eothas after his sudden revival. No release date has been given for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition, though it is confirmed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
