Quarter Onion Games Announces Emberlight

Developer Quarter Onion Games has announced Emberlight, an upcoming PC dungeon-crawler. The game will be released through Steam on August 13, 2019.

Emberlight focuses heavily on the theme of corruption. Players control a party of Knights of the Ember Order, tasked with venturing into procedurally-generated dungeons and completing quests. The Knights have the power to absorb and learn abilities used by enemies, but each new ability learned corrupts the recipient’s soul and turns them closer to evil.

Each quest run is designed to take 30-60 minutes. However, after the quest is completed, the most corrupt member of the party will turn on their allies, taking the steps towards becoming a new boss to face later down the line — complete with the powers they attained during their quest — in a repeating cycle.
