Dragon Quest Builders 2 Brings Puzzles

Square Enix has released some new bits of information, as well as several new screenshots, detailing more aspects of Dragon Quest Builders 2‘s gameplay. Occulm Island, where the sequel will take place, features Builder Puzzles, special challenges that involve builders solving scenarios utilizing the game’s various building mechanics, such as switches and moving blocks. Players will also be able to recruit the help of the island’s native monster population to assist them in delving deeper into mines and even send in squads of ruffians to mine ore in the player’s name — as long as they’re rewarded for a thirsty day’s work at the player-constructed local watering hole, that is.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is the second open-world, construction-centric spin-off of the long-running JRPG series. While this sequel is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 20, 2018, a localized version has not, as of yet, been confirmed for western audiences.
