Zodiac Interactive Announces New RPGs

China-based publisher Zodiac Interactive has announced two new titles that for release worldwide, both of which will be playable at Gamescom in Germany later this month. The two games will join other two previously-announced RPGs playable at the event as well, one of which is currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign.

The first newly-announced title is Tale of the Ice Staff, a 2D action RPG developed by Kurimi Gaming for Nintendo Switch. The game follows Yersa and her companion Nick as they embark on a journey against dark forces. Tale of the Ice Staff is planned for release in 2019.

The second RPG announced is Ancient Abyss, which is described as a “RogueZelda-like”. The game sees players adventure through various floors of randomly-generated maze. Ancient Abyss is planned for release on PC via Steam, with no date provided.

joining the new newly-announced titles is Big Day, a pixel-art action RPG that takes place on a ruined Earth following a zombie outbreak. Players are tasked with both finding their missing daughter and investigating cause of the outbreak. Big Day is developed by Sonic Shield and is currently in Steam Early Access on PC.

Finally, Tales of the Neon Sea is a retro-styled cyberpunk adventure RPG from Palm Pioneer. The game is currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign, which is just over halfway to its NZ$17,000 goal with 21 days left in the campaign. Tales of the Neon Sea is being developed for PC, with console releases also planned.
