God Eater 3 Introduces New Character, Aragami Type, Bullet Creation

Bandai Namco has provided more details and screenshots for its upcoming action RPG God Eater 3. The update introduces the new character Lulu, the new Guuzou Aragami type, and the returning bullet creation system that feature some changes from previous God Eater titles.

Lulu is one of the new Adaptive God Eaters that appear in the game. She hails from the port of Baran — which has been noted for often carrying out dangerous experiments — and confronts the player-created protagonist in the Ashlands. Lulu is the test subject for a special combat support system and is highly mobile. She has no family and has carried out many missions since being identified as AGE-compatible when a child.

The Guuzou is a new type of medium-sized, floating Aragami. It is covered in armour and often changes forms while releasing ranged attacks. Its defense form sees it hiding behind its armour and creating a barrier that stops long-range attacks, while its attack form lets it freely use its own distance attacks. The most effective tactics differ depending on which form it is currently in.

Finally, the bullet creator is a returning system when players can create their own specialised range attacks, utilising different types of elemental and targeting options. Unlike in previous games, where the bullets created are used the same way as regular bullets, God Eater 3’s creations use a separate cost system. The cost of each bullet is determined by its configuration, and players can only bring a certain number of these bullets with them — based on the cost — into battle.

God Eater 3 is the third mainline title in the series, and is being developed for PC and PlayStation 4. No release date has been given at this stage.
