Following from its release of the game’s opening movie, God Eater 3 has provided more details and screenshots for the game. The basic details feature a reminder of the game’s setting of the Ashlands, where the protagonist finds himself rescued by the crew of an Ash Crawler called Chrysanthemum. Newly introduced is the character of Phym, a girl with a horn on her forehead. Phym is encountered by players while on a scouting mission and plays a key role in the game’s story.

Bandai Namco also detailed the Burst Art special attack system. Burst Arts can be used during Burst Mode and a contextual based on what players are currently doing when activated such as running, jumping, or standing on the ground. Players can customise what effects are applied to each Burst Art attack.

God Eater 3 is the third mainline title in the series, which sees players controlling the eponymous fighters as they take on monstrous beings called Aragami that have laid waste to human civilisation. The game is set to release in Japan for PlayStation 4 on December 13, 2018, before releasing in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 and PC on February 8, 2019.
