Starfinder: Afterlight Public Demo Available

Epictellers Entertainment has released its first public demo for cRPG Starfinder: Afterlight. The demo is available for PC and Linux through Steam. It lets players choose one of three pre-generated playable character classes — Soldier, Envoy, or Operative — before they go through the prologue tutorial on the Moon of Misfortune spaceship, where they meet Kole. They will then move to the entertainment district of Hivemarket on Akiton and meet other companions Preach and Sterling, while gathering information on a missing ship captain and fighting a band of cultists.

Starfinder: Afterlight is set in Paizo’s Starfinder tabletop RPG universe and is planned to release on Early Access for PC later this year. The game features turn-based combat based on the rules of Starfinder Second Edition. It lets players assemble and lead a crew of misfits, each with their own stories and moral dilemmas. They venture into the Pact Worlds, discovering cosmic wonders and facing a threat that looms over the entire galaxy, with the game billed as featuring a branching narrative with hundreds of unique paths based on the player’s choices.
