Stranger Then Heaven Shows Gamescom Demo Gameplay

Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio posted a new video for action adventure title Stranger Than Heaven. The twelve-minute video shows a playthrough of the demo version of the game available at this week’s Gamescom event in Cologne, showing combat in three of the game’s time periods. The video is joined by an eighteen-minute video interview with Executive Director Masayoshi Yokoyama talking about the inspirations and ideas behind the game.

Stranger Than Heaven starts in 1915, following young boy Makoto Daito, who boards a ship in San Francisco seeking to travel to his mother’s homeland of Japan. Showing his rise to success as a master showman, the game takes players to five different locations and time periods in Japan over the next fifty years. Stranger Than Heaven is set to release on January 15, 2027, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
