Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Update Adds New Game Plus

Square Enix has released a new update for tactical RPG Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. The version 1.5.0 update includes a New Game+ mode, which lets players start a new game with unit levels, item data, and more carried over. It also adds a new Zodiac Compatibility function and various quality-of-life features including clearer Job unlock conditions, a remove all equipment option, the ability to check unit statuses when targeting an ability, and additional presentation and UI settings. In addition, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options are available for the game’s Enhanced Mode.

The latest remaster of the original Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is the first game set in the recurring setting of Ivalice and follows young noble Ramza Beoulve, who becomes involved in a succession crisis known as the War of the Lions. The remaster will include two versions of the game: the enhanced version and the classic version featuring graphics and gameplay truer to the original 1997 version.
