For The King II’s Fallen Oaths DLC, Free Update Out Now

Publisher Curve Games and developer IronOak Games have released their latest DLC for strategy RPG/board game hybrid For The King II. The Fallen Oaths DLC is available now for $7.99/€7.99/£6.49 and adds two new playable characters — the Voidwalker and the Fallen Knight — alongside their Rifle and Lance weapon sets, as well as a new pet, a new mercenary, a new cosmetic skin, and a new trait.

In addition, the companies have released a free content update for the game. The update adds a new adventure, titled “A New Age”, which continues on from the events of the previous “The Child of Chaos” adventure. It also adds the Astronomer character from For the King, as well as the new Musket weapon set, a new loadout weapon, a new helmet and a new trait. To celebrate the DLC and update, the game is available to play for free on Steam until 10am PST on November 24, 2025.

For The King II is a follow-up to 2018’s For The King and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It takes players to the land of Fahrul, where they attempt to defeat its tyrannical Queen. Players select a party from a variety of classes before venturing through the procedurally-generated world, which has hex-based maps but grid-based combat. The more players play, the more items they can unlock for future playthroughs.
