Gambit Digital Taking Over Fae Farm
Gambit Digital, a newly-announced publisher based in Montreal, announced that it will be taking over publishing duties for farming sim Fae Farm. The announcement follows the layoffs of the majority of the development team at developer Phoenix Labs earlier this year. The acquisition sees the game being owned by a collective made up of Gambit Digital, Game Cloud Network, Pure Wonder Interactive, and Phatty Acid.
Fae Farm takes players to the enchanted island of Azoria. Players build and expand their homestead, explore the island, and gather resources as they seek to restore harmony. It features online co-op multiplayer, as well as local multiplayer on Nintendo Switch. The game’s “Cozy System” gives players daily buffs for having specialised furniture and decor. The game originally released for PC and Nintendo Switch in 2023, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions released in 2024.
