Card-en-Ciel Switch 2 Version, Expansion Pass Announced
Inti Creates announced a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 release for its roguelite deckbuilding RPG Card-en-Ciel. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game — which originally launched for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch last year — will release on January 29, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will include higher frame rates and resolutions, as well as Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. It will be available for $34.99, or with a $10 upgrade pack for those who already own the Nintendo Switch version.
In addition, Inti Creates announced an Expansion Pass for the game. The Expansion Pass will grant players a new exclusive Wild Card and access to two upcoming DLC packs. The first pack will add a Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark story dungeon, Muse, and cards, with the contents of the second pack to be announced at later date. Release dates for the DLC have not yet been announced.
Card-en-CielĀ follows Neon, a gaming detective, as characters from other universes unexpectedly show up in a different work-in-progress. Gameplay sees players clearing out rooms in dungeons by collecting and battling with deck built up from over 300 character cards, attempting to get to the boss at the end. Each room cleared grants a choice of reward, with players also earning scores and rewards when they complete the dungeon.
