The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Introduces Ruan Region
Nihon Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment have released new media and details for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. The new update focuses on the region of Ruan, one of the locations protagonists Estelle and Joshua visit on their travels around the kingdom of Liberl, introducing its important characters and some of the locations.
Ruan is a coastal city on the Azelia Bay. It was previously known for maritime trade, but since the Orbal Revolution and the creation of airships it has focused on tourism with its mixture of blue sea and white buildings that attract numerous visitors alongside the Langland Bridge. Outside of Ruan is the village of Manoria, which is renowned for the blossoming of white magnolia flowers as well as providing great panoramic views of Azelia Bay. Ruan is also home to the Jenis Royal Academy, a boarding school that has taught numerous influential figures and which hosts its own public festival.
Players will encounter numerous characters in and around Ruan. Lieutenant Julia Schwarz is part of the Royal Guard and the commanding officer of the new high-speed cruiser Arseille. She wields a rapier in battle and has many admirers within and outside of the military. Gilbert Stein is the secretary to Mayor Dalmore — who is a member of the noble class — and a graduate of Jenis Royal Academy who is often at loggerheads with a group of delinquents. Headmaster Collins is the headmaster at Jenis Royal Academy, and one of the countries most renowned scholars, earning trust of both students and faculty with his kind demeanour.
Jill Ridonor is the current student council president at Jenis Royal Academy. She is known to be reliable and a natural leader, but prone to rushing into decisions. Hans is the student council vice-president and acts as a counterbalance to Jill’s impulsiveness with his steady demeanour and support, despite not being strong academically. Elsewhere, Carna is a Senior Bracer based in Ruan. She acts as a big sister and excels at long-range combat using her Orbal gun and support abilities, with Agate acknowledging her abilities. Finally, Jean is the receptionist at Ruan’s Bracer Guild branch. His easy-going nature allows him to interact smoothly with clients, many of which are tourists.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first game in the series taking place on the continent of Zemuria. It follows adopted siblings Estelle and Joshua as they set out to become Bracers, a group that acts to protect the safety of the world citizens. Acting as junior Bracers, they look to become full-fledged Bracers by taking on jobs across the Kingdom of Liberl. The game will release worldwide on September 19, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
