Knock on the Coffin Lid Adds Custom Mode
Developer Redboon has released a new update for its “fantasy-mystery whodunnit” roguelite deckbuilder Knock on the Coffin Lid. The update adds a new Custom Mode to the game. This mode sees players take on a randomly-generated map, which changes every day. They can customise the starting deck for their chosen character from all available cards, as well as selecting their starting equipment and applying beneficial or hindering modifiers. Experience gained in Custom Mode will transfer over to the characters in Story Mode.
Knock on the Coffin Lid sees players rising from a cold crypt far away from home and without memories. They must navigate their way through three regions in order to return home and uncover the mystery of their own death, with their choices changing the fate of the world. Players build up their deck to be able to summon allies, cast spells, and fortify their defenses during the card-based turn-based battles. The game originally released for PC and Mac in 2024, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in May 2025.
