OFF Gets August Release Date

Mortis Ghost and Fangamer announced that retro-styled RPG OFF will release on August 15, 2025. The new version of the game — which was originally developed using the RPG Maker 2003 engine and released for PC in French 2008 before getting a sanctioned fan translation in 2011 — will be available digitally on PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch. A physical Nintendo Switch release is planned to follow in Q4 2025 and is available to pre-order now from Fangamer’s online store. A prologue demo is available now for PC through Steam.

OFF puts players in the role of the Batter, a man wearing a baseball uniform, as he seeks to purify a strange, hopeless world haunted by specters. He is guided by a cryptic, grinning cat called the Judge and travels through various bizarre areas. The new version of the game will feature a new combat system, balance adjustments, additional areas and bosses, new music featuring multiple guest composers, and a new official English translation. Support for German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese is also planned to be added in a post-release update.
