OFF Prologue Demo Released

Mortis Ghost and Fangamer have released a prologue demo for retro-styled RPG OFF. The prologue is available now for PC through Steam. It lets players go through the first hour of the game, up until its first boss fight against Dedan. Save data from the prologue can be transferred to the full game.

OFF was originally developed using the RPG Maker 2003 engine and released for PC in French 2008 before getting a sanctioned fan translation in 2011. The new version will release for PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch in 2025. OFF puts players in the role of the Batter, a man wearing a baseball uniform, as he seeks to purify a strange, hopeless world haunted by specters. He is guided by a cryptic, grinning cat called the Judge and travels through various bizarre areas. The new version of the game will feature a new combat system, balance adjustments, additional areas and bosses, new music featuring multiple guest composers, and a new official English translation. Support for German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese is also planned to be added in a post-release update.
