OFF Coming to Steam, Switch in 2025
Developer Mortis Ghost and publisher Fangamer have announced that retro-styled RPG OFF will be coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch in 2025. The game was originally developed using the RPG Maker 2003 engine and released for PC in French 2008 before getting a sanctioned fan translation in 2011.
OFF puts players in the role of the Batter, a man wearing a baseball uniform, as he seeks to purify a strange, hopeless world haunted by specters. He guided by a cryptic, grinning cat called the Judge and travels through various bizarre areas. The new version of the game will feature a new combat system, balance adjustments, additional areas and bosses, and a new official translation.
In addition to a digital release, the game will also be getting two physical editions for Nintendo Switch. A $35 standard edition will be joined by a $75 Collector’s Edition in North America that includes a collector’s case, a bobblehead doll, a set of zodiac cards, a comic book by Mortis Ghost, an instruction manual, and a “Memories of the Park” art card. The editions are available to pre-order from Fangamer’s online North American and European stores. There will also be various pieces of merchandise available.
