Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column, we look to provide our readers with details on the major RPGs released in the last week (and a couple we missed out last time around). Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development. Pricing is shown in US dollars before application of any discounts, local pricing may vary.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster

A remaster of Nintendo 3DS title Bravely Default, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is set in the world of Luxendarc, where balance is kept by four elemental crystals. After a Great Chasm causes darkness to appear, four warriors end up teaming together on a journey to restore light to the crystals. It features a turn-based system where players can make use of Brave and Default options to use or store up multiple actions.

Turn-based strategy RPG Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is set in a future where the ecosystem has collapsed, with just 112 cities remaining, sheltered under massive domes or inside mountains. Players control a crew of underworld mercenaries pulling off heists to increase their reputation while trying not to take too much heat. Squad-based missions feature gridless movement, environmental cover, overwatch, and initiative manipulation, with the jobs players take on impacting their crew, connections, and storylines.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition

Cyberpunk 2077 is based on Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian Games’ Cyberpunk tabletop RPG and follows V, a player-created character in Night City who is left for dead after a failed heist and becomes entwined with the legendary figure Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. After initially releasing in 2020, the game received both a major Update 2.0 patch as well as the Phantom Liberty expansion in 2023. The Ultimate Edition includes both the base game and its Phantom Liberty expansion, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version including gyroscope aiming, motion controls, touch screen commands, and mouse capabilities. Deltarune

Deltarune is a follow-up to 2015’s Undertale. The paid release contains four chapters of the game after the first chapter was initially released in 2018, with the second chapter following in 2021, both for free. Additional story chapters are planned to release after launch. The game sees players fight (or spare) their way through while exploring a bizarre world with new and familiar characters.
Dragon Is Dead
Dragon Is Dead is a 2D sidescrolling action title set in a fantasy world. The world’s dragons have challenged the gods, and all have fallen, except for Guernian. Leader of the dark dragons, Guernian, has fully embraced evil and is corrupting the world through a rift. Players are tasked with slaying Guernian and defeating his creations using skills, equipment, and runes to create their own character builds.

Etheria: Restart is set in a virtual world where humanity has transferred its consciousness in the face of impending global catastrophe. This world sees humans coexist with beings known as the Animus, who wield mysterious powers. After existing harmoniously, something begins to corrupt the Animus, with a force called the Hyperlinker Union formed to combat it. Players take on the role of a Hyperlinker, forming a party of characters and commanding characters in real-time during turn-based battles.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Life sim RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time sees players drifting onto an island that was previously home to a prosperous civilisation. Players develop the island through quests and crafting, before being able to time travel back into the past, where they can learn secrets about the island and potentially rewrite history. The game includes fourteen different roles, or Lives, for players to freely change between as they build up their town.

Farming sim/action RPG Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma sees players controlling a male or female protagonist in the Japan-inspired eastern lands of Azuma. As an Earth Dancer, they are destined to restore hope and life to the land, which has been ravaged by the Celestial Collapse and the cessation of power from the runes. The game sees players rebuild entire villages; fight with new weapons, including bows and talismans; and wield sacred treasures.
Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is a bundle of remasters for the first two games in the Suikoden series. Suikoden follows a general’s son in the Scarlet Moon Empire, who seeks out the 108 warriors known as the Stars of Destiny to help overthrow a corrupt tyrant. Suikoden II is set some years after the events of the first game and follows a new protagonist and his friend Jowy as they become involved in a new conflict that bubbles up between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowstown. Both games feature turn-based combat with six-person parties and a wider assortment of characters available to recruit. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild takes place in an open world Hyrule where an amnesiac Link attempts to save Princess Zelda and prevent Calamity Ganon from destroying the world. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Taking place after the events of Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sees Link embarking on a new journey. His new adventure takes him across an expanded world, including floating landmasses in the skies of Hyrule. Link has the new Fuse ability that combines items together, which allows him to craft tools and even vehicles. Turn-based RPG Voidsayer is set in a world cursed by a corrupting force called the Abyss. Players control a warrior seeking to fight back against the Abyss and its corruptions using tameable monsters. The game features a procedurally-generated adventure with various encounters and events found over its generated map. There are a hundred different creatures of different types to tame, and they can equip gear, gain upgrades, and evolve into new forms.
Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut

Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the long-running Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. The game is set in 1988 and follows younger versions of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as they are caught in a turf war between warring yakuza clans. The Nintendo Switch 2 Director’s Cut version includes new cutscenes; a new online multiplayer mode; English voiceovers; and French, Italian, German, and Spanish text localisations.
Zenless Zone Zero

Action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, those who guide others exploring the Hollows. The Xbox Series X|S comes alongside the launch of its Version 2.0 update.
