Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 Update, Xbox Release Coming in June

HoYoverse announced that its Version 2.0 update for free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero will release on June 5, 2025. The update is titled “Where Clouds Embrace The Dawn” and will begin the game’s Season 2 content. Its arrival will come alongside the Xbox Series X|S version of the game on the same date.

The Version 2.0 update will send players on an adventure to Waifei Peninsula, a remote district of New Eridu. It will see players uncovering the hidden secrets of Phaethon and taking part in new Hollow exploration gameplay harnessing Ether. Places in the region include its main city of Failume Heights, which features distinctive tea houses, pawnshops, and dessert stalls, and Lemnian Hollow, an area high in resources and danger. The update will also add new playable characters — Yixuan, Ju Fufu, and Pan Yinhu — as well as new Bangboo Belion. Other additions include new events, a new 3D map, enhanced navigation features, and various other quality-of-life upgrades.

Zenless Zone Zero is set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, those who guide others exploring the Hollows.
