Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 Update Going Live Next Month

HoYoverse announced the release date for the next update of Zenless Zone Zero. The version 2.2, titled “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”, will be available on September 4, 2025. In addition, the company announced a collaboration with Razer to produce versions of its peripherals featuring the character Miyabi.

The update sees the Obol Squad faction involved in heated conflicts in Waifei Peninsula. Players will be tasked with delving into the power struggles and long-buried truths behind New Eridu. The update introduces the new agents Seed and the duo Orphie & Magus. Seed is an S-Rank Electric Attack agent who fights alongside her partner mecha Seed Sr. She excels in synergizing with other Attack agents. Orphie & Magus are a coordinated duo of the S-Rank Fire Attack agent and the Obol Squad’s captain. Orphie’s EX Special Attack cumulates Bottled Heat and places all squad members into the Zeroed In state upon hitting enemies, boosting Attack and allowing Aftershocks to ignore a portion of the enemy’s Defense. The update also adds Mercury, an S-Rank Bangboo who operates a tank as combat support on the battlefield.

Zenless Zone Zero is an action RPG set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu and is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, those who guide others exploring the Hollows.
